EPASD School Board announces new Superintendent

STATEMENT OF EPASD SCHOOL BOARD

The School Board of Directors for East Pennsboro Area School District is pleased to inform you that the Board has made a unanimous decision to enter into contract negotiations with Dr. Donna M. Dunar to be our next Superintendent. Dr. Dunar has considerable experience in school administration and a demonstrable record at getting results for the districts at which she has worked. Since 2011, Dr. Dunar has been the Assistant Superintendent at Pennsbury School District in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. In addition to improving and implementing changes to the curriculum, Dr. Dunar led the Pennsbury School District to national recognition for achievements in the character education in all schools, K-12. In all, Dr. Dunar has over twenty-five years experience in building-level and central-office school administration.

We want to thank the administrators, staff, faculty, students and community who participated in the meetings with our Superintendent finalists. The feedback was useful and greatly aided the Board's deliberations.

The Board expects to present a contract for approval at the April 19, 2018 Board meeting after all the details are negotiated. We look forward to Dr. Dunar moving to East Pennsboro and becoming a part of our community.

The Board also wishes to thank Mr. Milbrand for his service to our district as Acting Superintendent and looks forward to moving forward with him continuing in his role as Assistant Superintendent and believes that we have an extremely strong, dedicated administrative team to lead us into the future.
